Moments after Teddy and I unloaded the free piano from his truck and wheeled it into my living room, I realized I needed a way to practice. I stumbled through a Landlord song... I think it was Jack Song, and realized again how good Landlord was. I figured out how to play it, and the song seemed like it was meant to be played on piano. I moved on to learning Swan Song. That sounded awesome too.

It was then that I conceived of this project. I figured I would just record every song on the Landlord record, Beneath the Wheel in order to teach myself piano.

This is the result of that project. It has taken me about 2 years and a pandemic to finish it, but I'm finally finished. My versions of these songs are fun, but they don't do justice to the original, so you should seek it out. Some of their demos are on Bandcamp: landlordin.bandcamp.com
